Heading North

Since I was a little girl I have always dreamed of heading north to Alaska. Both my parents fished in Southeast Alaska for many years when they were young. It was how my parents were able to buy land and that same year travel to the Bahamas for the winter. Boat stories always filled our house and their adventures in Alaska always stayed in my head. Still today my favorite photos are from there younger days are from their life up north fishing and living a life so different from my own.

This week our 2 dear friends are getting married up in Homer Alaska and we get to go celebrate with them along with many more folks from the island! Trips are always a hug amount of work to get ready for but once I have arrived in a whole new environment it is so worth it. I am so excited to finally see Alaska and enjoy its wilderness and beauty.
