the visitor

A visit from a Trumpeter Swan pleasantly surprised me today on my morning walk. This was the one time I wish I had a zoom on my camera. The swan looks so small in the photos but in real life it was quite large. They are such beautiful and graceful birds. I love when they take off and you can hear them pumping their wings to gain altitude. It has been pretty amazing seeing all the different birds that have migrated through our property this fall and winter. Looking forward to seeing what spring will bring.
