New Habit

Alex and I officially went on our first date this month since becoming parents. It was in true island fashion. We took our skiff over to another island and walked up from the dock to the restaurant, enjoyed a long and uninterrupted meal and motored home right at sunset. It took us about 4 months of talking about it to finally make it happen but so happy we did! 

I was not really planning on sharing any photos from our date but it is a memory I would love to remember and this space has become a favorite spot to share and store memories. We had so much fun we are now hoping to make it a monthly habit. Just the two of us, a simple date to catch up and remember who we were before we became a family of three. I think it makes us better partners to each other and better parents too!
