Leather

When purchasing leather I travel to Seattle to hand-pick my hides. Leather is a material where you really need to see and touch it before buying it. Anytime I order leather over the internet it never it what I expect it to be. I do not go to Seattle often so when I go I usually buy a few hides to keep me stocked for awhile. I am beginning to use leather more and more. I have really grown to love the process of sewing with it. Of course I will still use cotton & hemp fabrics but i'll be expanding my leather products in my shop. I am hoping to purchase a new sewing machine in the next few months that is primarily used for leather. I am excited about taking this spring to really explore the craft of working with leather. Ill keep you posted!
