a quick trip...

 Yesterday was Alex's birthday, we headed over to Orcas to celebrate and have a quick birthday dinner with his mom. Alex's mom is living on such a pretty piece of property with a beautiful house, bountiful garden and cute pond. The house overlooks Lopez and I can see my childhood home from the upstairs deck. It was a sweet afternoon and ended with a very tasty meal as always. Manila clams with buckwheat pasta, fresh garden salad and a deep chocolate cake for desert! Oh and let me know forget the toasted coconut ice cream that his mom made from scratch. So goooood!
