Island Living ( a monthly series)

So I am a few days late on this as it was supposed to be September's Island Living post but better late then never. These are a few shots from around my good friend Piper's Yurt. She has been living in this yurt for the past year and half and has made it into such a sweet and homey space. It has so many great colors, textiles, drawings and creative parts to it. Piper is a knitter and makes the most beautiful knit wear around. The cool thing is she uses all Lopez Island wool and process the raw wool into beautiful hand-spun yarn. She also often dyes it with local lichen. One day she will start an Etsy shop and I will let you know cause you will want to buy it all. I did a post from a few years back on her spinning her wool.
